Building a Map in ‣nitly
To create a map within the software, you must have an Admin role. This role grants you the ability to create maps and units. Begin by following these steps:
Step-by-Step Guide
- 1. Drag and Drop: Start from scratch by dragging a unit ‣ object onto the map. The object will automatically snap into an invisible grid to assist with alignment. This unit object can represent anything you want to assign to a tenant. A storage unit, parking space, office suite or even a mailbox.
- 2. Resize the Unit: Once on the map, resize the unit to accurately reflect the physical dimensions of the space you are mapping. Do this by grabbing one of the resizers on the side of the object. Clicking the unit object shows and hides the resizers, also the ESC key hides all resizers on the map.
- 3. Naming the Unit: When you place a unit, it will be given a default name, "New Unit." Right-click (long press for mobile) the unit to show the context menu, where you can click the name to edit it. The unit name will show on tenant invoices so be sure to not include sensitive info in the name.
- 4. Customize Unit Details: Besides renaming, you can also modify the unit type, add amenities (addons), set pricing, and make notes. This customization needs to be done for every unit placed on the map.
- 5. Bulk Setup Assistance: For the initial facility setup, consider letting us assist you in bulk processing these settings to save time.
